Studio Visit: Designercarpets Drechsle
Melançon + Mader collaborated with Designercarpets Drechsle in nearby Lörrach, Germany, to design a custom runner carpet for our studio. The carpet was handmade in Kathmandu by Nepalese artisans whom the Drechsle family has worked with for over thirty years. For our collaboration, the Drechsle team transformed our initial concept visuals into detailed renderings and dyed wool samples. After two months of production, Ms. Drechsle delivered the final, beautiful result directly to our studio.
